Accidental Damage Protection
The ADP is available at all properties except for the Penthouse at CRR, the Beach Homes at LM, and Willow Bend at OCK.
What is ADP?
The ADP covers non-negligent or accidental damage to a unit that may occur during a guest’s stay. If something breaks, guests can simply let us know immediately and the agreement kicks in to repair or replace the item. Most importantly, guests are provided with peace of mind and can get back to enjoying their vacation with no worries!
The Accidental Damage Protection Plan is an optional fee that is $39.99. This fee is non-refundable and is added to the deposit amount if added at the time of booking. The Plan can be purchased at any time up to check-in.
Guests who purchase the Accidental Damage Protection Plan will not be subject to the required credit card pre-authorization at check in.
What's Covered?
The ADP covers minor, non-negligent damage to the unit. This may include but is not limited to scratches to the furniture, walls, accidental breakage of glassware, spills, minor stains, and accidental furnishings breakage.
Each registered guest is protected by this waiver and will not be obligated to pay for accidental loss or damage to the unit or its contents up to $1,000.
Not available at CRR Penthouse, LM Beach Houses or OCK Willow Bend.
What's Not Covered?
Intentional or Neglectful damage to the unit. This may include but is not limited to: damage caused by a party, damage caused by smoking or pets, theft or removal of unit inventory, furniture breakage if determined to be negligent.
All damage must be reported by the guest prior to checkout. Damage not reported prior to check out or discovered by the resort is not covered.
Damage to guests’ personal property is not covered.
Should I offer it to every guest?
You should talk about it as part of your normal sales flow like you would the other add-ons!
Remember, guests do not have to add this at the time of booking, so you are mostly just letting them know that it exists. However, you can definitely use this to overcome an objection about the security deposit amount! Again, they don’t have to purchase it now; they can add it at check-in.
Is it in the disclaimer?
It is mentioned in the disclaimer. If a guest wants to add it, you would have to go back and add it.
Remember that they can add it when they check in.
